The successful career of John Kerry began in Switzerland, where he attented Institut Montana ZUgerberg in the 1950s.
According to Blick, he enjoyed his time at Institut Montana and even fell in love with the principal’s daughter.
In the school newspaper, the 11-year-old John Kerry described a trip to Zürich that he took with an American schoolmate to celebrate Thanksgiving. While the older boys were spending time at book stores, Kerry and his friends preferred to visit "a museum for old weapons and the Zürich Zoo", according to a report by Swissinfo from 2004.
